Tattoos Belly
Does anyone recognize where the ferret Belly Tattoo comes from?
I haven’t searched extensively on Google because anything that pops up is people ferret tattoos or Marshall Ferret company and I recognize their tattooing, but I have received a ferret that has a tattoo on her belly of a panda or ferret head. I’m not sure if someone just did that to identify it as theirs or it’s from some other ferret breeding company. Does anyone know what this means?
Someone may have done that for the hell of it from the sounds of what you describe. I have never heard of a company that would tattoo a ferret like that. I have 1 Triple F girl and 3 Marshalls girls. The marshalls girls all have the tyical ear dot tatoos. My triple f girl has hers inside her ear on the right on a fold of skin. Its hard to see, but its there. Its light pink, after fading, but I did find it. I would possibly take the ferret to a vet, and locate as many commercial breeders as possible. The three I know well of in the USA, are Marshalls Farms, Triple F Farms, and Path Valley Farms (Dunno if PVF tattoos or not). I’d have a vet look at it. I personally think if its in the shape you say it is, it sounds like someone got bored and decided to do that. Doesn’t sound very humane to me.
